You will be working in groups of two to research and then report on various topics dealing with the Elizabethan Age. The goal of this project is familiarize yourself and your peers on vital information pertaining to the Elizabethan Age and the world of Shakespeare.
The following are your
guidelines for this project:
1.
Work as a team*. That means that each member does his/her
fair share of work.
2.
Research your topic
thoroughly. It is important to
learn as much as we can from each other.
3.
You need to present** a 8-12 minute report on your research. This report should be creative. You must include some sort of high school
quality*** audiovisual (i.e. poster, timeline, photos, props, overhead, powerpoint- whatever else you may feel is appropriate – be
creative)
4.
You also need to turn in a
summary of your findings. This must
be typed using size 12 Time New Roman font. Your summary should be 1 page
double-spaced. Include an MLA
heading.
5.
Your research should include
at least two sources. These sources
need to be listed in a Works Cited Page which will be included with your
summary. Please use proper MLA
form.
6.
If your name does not appear
on all parts of the project you will not receive credit for that portion of
the project.
You will be graded on the
following criteria:

Thoroughness of the
presentation
2.
Creativeness of presentation
3.
High school quality

Adherence to above stated

This project will be due

present your project when you come to class. Failure to be prepared for your
presentation will result in an automatic failure!
Definitions of
terms:
*team: a
group of 2 or more people working towards a common goal.
Each person contributes to the best of his/her
ability.
**present: this requires
both people to be able to discuss their topic intelligently. Eye contact, a strong voice, and a
professional appearance are
key.
Professional appearance includes but is not limited to, no
chewing gum, no slouching, no leaning on the
podium.
***high school quality:
requires more than just glitter and poster board.
Things should be cut out straightly. Organization and neatness are key. Be sure to include pictures, graphs, timelines,
etc.
