Building for the Future

Continue the Vision Capital Campaign
As we celebrate 40 years of excellence in education, we look to the future.  We have a responsibility to ensure that the next generations of the Cougar Family benefit from this special, quality education in the Marianist tradition.  We ask you to take the lead now and help us Continue the Vision with a gift to our 40th anniversary campaign.  To make your gift now, click on the Donate Now button at the top of the page or contact Lynn Poly, Director of Developmentat 402.734.2000.

Endowment
To ensure a stable financial future for the Cougar Family, we need to grow our endowment to offset tuition increases, allowing Gross Catholic to remain a viable Catholic Education option.

Competition Level Softball Field
Through a partnership with Saint Bernadette’s we will address the need for a competition level softball field to be used by both schools.

Common Area Bathrooms
The Student Commons restoration that took place seven years ago did not include updates to the 40-year-old restrooms.  These are the primary student restrooms and are also used by visitors at our sporting events and activities. The restrooms will be updated to current, more efficient standards.

The West Entrance
As the primary entrance to the school for students, and also for visitors attending sporting events, performances, and activities, the West Entrance needs to be updated.  The original glass doors are inadequate and inefficient, and renovations would provide a more attractive, welcoming entrance to our school.

Laptop Repair Area
With over 300 students and faculty currently accessing our wireless network daily through their laptops, we have outgrown the existing center of operations. Expansion of the space will provide adequate room to grow the technology program and accommodate student internships for laptop maintenance.

The Chaminade Chapel
Mass is offered daily in the Chaminade Chapel as a pillar of our Catholic and spiritual growth. The Chapel is in need of carpet, paint and general updating as we look forward to accommodating future generations of students who use the Chapel on a regular basis.

Outdoor Track Renovation
The resurfacing completed in the fall of 2007.

Art Studio and Wrestling Practice Facility
Renovation of the art classroom and the wrestling practice facility included installation of central heating and air conditioning, new art studio equipment, a raised floor for the wrestling room and a new mat.

Phase I $3.1 million
In 2001, Gross Catholic completed construction of the Daniel and Agnes Monen Media and Technology Center. The new 8000 square-foot technology center provides supporting facilities for students to excel in the information age housing 22 computer workstations. This complements the Northwestern Mutual Financial Network multimedia presentation room, student and teacher production areas, as well as traditional stack space. The centerpiece of this new facility is the Criss Creativity Center, funded by the Dr. C. C. and Mabel L. Criss Foundation, providing students with the technology tools necessary to utilize the global classroom. It consists of computer workstations allowing students to research and prepare multimedia presentations.

Other improvements to the school facilities included installation of an elevator, fire protection system, and improvements to the heating and cooling systems.
