Mrs. Leslie Janak has a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Mrs. Janak has been teaching at Gross since 1985. Over the years, Mrs. Janak has taught music theory, music history, and music appreciation classes. Mrs. Janak has also directed musicals, taught mixed chorus, and has taught in the elementary instrumental music program at Gross Catholic since its inception in 1985. Since 1999, Mrs. Janak has directed the Cougar Concert, Marching, Pep and Jazz Bands at Gross Catholic, as well as coordinating and teaching in the Gross Catholic Junior Band Program. She is a member of the Music Educators National Conference, Nebraska Music Educators Association and Nebraska State Bandmasters Association. Mrs. Janak has been married to her husband since 1984, and they have two children. |
