A Test of Intelligence

Gross Catholic’s Academic Decathlon team participates in several academic competitions, including the national academic decathlon program, the River Cities Conference Academic Challenge, and area quiz bowls.  The national Academic Decathlon program tests students in ten categories:  art, economics, essay, interview, language and literature, mathematics, music, science, social science, and speech.  The team meets during a regularly scheduled class period. 

The 2006-2007 team finished first at the River Cities Conference Academic Challenge and second at the Regional Competition, earning a spot at the Nebraska State Competition.
