Technology & Our Laptop Program
At Gross Catholic, we believe our students must develop technology skills to be competitive in the academic world and the workforce. All freshmen are required to take an introductory technology course suited to their skill level. Students are then eligible to explore computer science courses on an advanced level, such as web page design, desktop publishing, computer programming, computer repair, and a two-year course in network design and management that prepares students to take the Cisco Certified Network Associates Test.
In addition to the traditional curriculum, Gross Catholic offers a technology-based Laptop Program where students bring their own laptops to school to use throughout the day. Laptops can be purchased through the school or students can purchase laptops on their own if they meet certain specifications. For more information about the program, please check out our Laptop Program webpage on Edline. The program is available to all students. Students use internet, word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and email skills on a daily basis as part of their coursework.
Gross Catholic maintains a wireless network, the Monen Media & Technology Center, two computer teaching labs, a presentation room, and two student computer labs. |
